What Is Second-Surface Printing?
Second-surface printing places your artwork on the back of the clear
acrylic. The design is viewed through the polished front surface, helping
protect the printed area while creating a professional sense of depth. It
is what separates a custom printed acrylic sign from an ordinary flat
print – the glass-like finish makes colors look richer and gives the
whole piece a premium, dimensional quality.
White Underbase and Transparency Options
Standard printing includes a white underbase beneath the artwork so the
colors appear bright and solid. Selective spot-white printing may be chosen
when portions of the acrylic should remain transparent.
