The first is to mount a printed panel rather than apply a film. A PVC sign or an aluminum panel fixed mechanically does not care about surface energy at all, because nothing is being bonded. The second is to move the graphic to an adjacent surface that does accept film, which on vehicles and equipment often means glass instead of a plastic body panel.
